Glutathione Santé is a food supplement based on reduced glutathione . Each strictly vegetable Capsule contains 250 mg of Setria® Reduced Glutathione . 250 mg is the maximum expected dosage for this powerful antioxidant.
We have enhanced our supplement with Vitamin C and Nac (N-acetyl-L-cysteine) which play the role of precursors. This maximum dosage ensures the effective entry of a significant amount of glutathione into the body's cells.
What is Reduced Glutathione?
Glutathione is a molecule composed of 3 peptides: glutamic acid, cysteine and glycine. All cells of the body contain it in a relatively high concentration: unlike vitamins, glutathione is a molecule naturally synthesized in the cells of the human body.
However, its production decreases with age and in some cases remains insufficient to adequately defend the body.
Why Take Reduced Glutathione?
Once in the gut, glutathione molecules are surrounded by intestinal enzymes, gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase, which transform them into relatively useless compounds. However, some molecules escape these attacks: they cross the intestinal barrier even before being oxidized by enzymes, thus reaching the bloodstream in full efficiency.
To maximize the amount of these molecules that escape attack, one strategy is to consume large amounts of reduced glutathione . With its maximum allowable dosage of 250 mg per capsule, Setria® Reduced Glutathione fits this strategy perfectly.
