Magnesium Chloride: What it is, Properties and Efficacy

The history of magnesium chloride begins with the First World War. In 1915, Professor Delbet was sent to the front as a surgeon. He was amazed at the huge number of wounded people who died from infections despite the use of disinfectants. After trying different products, in solution on cell cultures, he discovered that magnesium chloride was able to considerably increase the ability of white blood cells to destroy harmful particles.

Thanks to this discovery, he deduces that a magnesium chloride solution is the best choice for cleaning and dressing wounds. He describes this experiment in an article entitled “ Cytophylaxis ”, which he sends in September 1945 to the French Academy of Medicine.

In another communication, Professor Delbet describes his research, proving the effectiveness of magnesium chloride used in injections.

In 1928, seduced by Grignard's studies on the power of organomagnesium compounds, he added small quantities of other halogenated magnesium salts to the chloride. Gradually, Professor Delbet discovers that it is useful in many diseases, including diseases of the digestive system or skin, allergies or circulatory problems. He also notes that he gives energy to his patients.

The studies conducted lead him to attribute to magnesium chloride , cancer prevention effects and the ability to cure precancerous lesions.

In 1932, another French doctor, Doctor Neveu, resumed the studies of Professor Delbet. He will demonstrate 15 cases of polio cured with magnesium chloride .
